Mogul is increasing its range of sustainable products inline with increasing demand from market. Mogul offers natural, renewable biobased and circular recycled products in its range.Besides viscose, lyocel, cotton, bamboo and PLA based fabrics, Mogul is introducing two new products in its range. Mogul started to produce 100% bio-based polyester or blended products between 30 gsm and 200 gsm in parallel and cross production lines. This bio-based polyester has been specifically designed to biodegrade in the environments where the vast majority of plastics eventually find themselves: landfills and ocean water. According to independent testing, it reached 93.8% biodegradation in 646 days when exposed to an accelerated landfill environment (Test method ASTM D5511). At the conclusion of this test, the remaining material was found to contain no trace of plastic, leaving behind only natural, carbon based elements. And what is even better, additional independent testing concluded that the soil left behind remains perfectly suitable for plant growth. Repreve is a recycled polyester brand name by Unifi. Repreve is made from plastic fibers made from polyester waste such as plastic bottles. Mogul produces fabrics with Repreve fiber and chips and offers it to its customers. Mogul offers 100% Repreve PES fiber or blended products in parallel and cross Spunlace production lines and chips with Madaline microfilament, Buffalo bico, and Mopet PET spunbond lines. Repreve content in fabrics can be analyzed, the level of Repreve content can be confirmed. These fabrics are as strong and durable as fabrics made with virgin polyester. It is a high-quality material with excellent technical performance and creates up to 35% less waste and reduces carbon dioxide emissions by up to 20%. Mogul helps its customers improve their product sustainability for a less plastic polluted world and supports its customers by offering more sustainable products options, without compromising performance or quality and by protecting the oceans from microplastics.
